Audio Video sync

To sync my video and audio tracks, I ungroup the event and then move whichever track to a position. What I would like to do, is 'mark' the video track lets say where a door shuts, then 'mark' the audio track where the corresponding sound is, and align the two 'marks' to sync the video....very much like the clapperboard they use in movies. At the moment I just drag a track to the position I guess it should be.

And your question is?

You can always open an event in the Trimmer and it will open up synced there. Then just add or drag back to the timeline.

Like Spot said not quite clear on the question , are the vid and aud tracks originaly sync'd (from dv tape) or are these two sepate captures?
if they were origanly sync'd another option if you've split the clip up is the align a/v wizard in Excalibur. avail at
