Audio/Video will record but not play back

drumdirt wrote on 3/8/2008, 11:31 AM
I have successfully captured video and recorded audio (both analog and digital) to tracks. Though when I hit the play transport, the video and audio play for about a seond then snap back ot the beginning of the piece. I tried searching the forum but have not seen similar threads. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Kurt

It sounds from your description that you have created a loop. Consult "looping" and "play back" in the help menu. Also, move the cursor to different points on the time line and see if you're getting the same result.

When I create a loop region the audio will play back and it loops (though I did notice that the peaks in the wav file did not match the peaks I was hearing. Looked like 1-2 second delay.) Anyhow, if I remove the loop region and just hit play the audio will not play.

Thanks again.

Do your clips play both audio and video in the trimmer window?

Yes when I create a loop region and hit the play transport the cursor moves in the trimmer window and the audio and video playback.

I tried starting a new file then just dragged a wav file into the trimmer window and hit play...it played for a half-second then snapped back to the beginning. Same response if I pull a video file into the trimmer window.

Best,
