This comes up from time to time. My shot at it would be to take a number of captures from the waveform on the timeline, sticth them together is say say PS dropping out the background color and use pan/crop to line it back up, except that'll give you something like a heart monitor.

OK, other way. Play it back in WMP and use Camtasia or whatever to capture to AVI.

Thanks farss. I've tried the "scopes" visualization in WMP an it's just what I want. But none of my searches have turned up a clue on how to capture that visualization to an *.avi file. Any hints. DGrob

Camtasia. Or shoot the screen if you have an LCD monitor.
