Authoring with Ulead Movie Factory

I'm new at this and want to add chapters and such with MovieFactory. Not sure of the steps. In MS make movie do I a)Save it to hard drive or b) burn it to DVD (which renders the project). If the answer is (a)then which format do I select?

Then do I simply open MovieFactory, start project, add video?
Any other tips would be appreciated.

Thanks, all.

You should select a DVD template, PAL or NTSC, and save to your HD. If you're going to make a VCD or SVCD then select one of those templates instead.

And then, after creating the properly formatted mpeg file (DVD, VCD, or SVCD) on your hard drive, yes you should use the "add video" feature of MovieFactory.

Time-saving tip: In Ulead DVD Movie Factory, use the "do not re-render compliant files" (may not be exact wording) setting. Movie Studio's templates create compliant VCD etc. files. Things will go much more quickly in MovieFactory that way.
