Generally you'll install the plugin pack, then the first time you try to access it in Vegas it will pop up a box asking you for the code.

You should see an "unlock" button, right under the preset dropdown, on any of the demo fx property pages. Click that button and you'll be prompted to enter your serial #.

You were probably given two codes: make sure you're typing in the serial number and not the other one.
