Auto Cross Fade Problem

I one point I was able to slide a clip over another and there was a auto cross fade made.

Now it seems that it is gone and does not do the auto cross fade.

Is there a way to reset this to do the auto crossfade when I slide a clip over the end of another clip.

Yes, on the toolbar there is an icon that looks sorta like a two pointed crown, make sure that it is activated that is the auto crossfade icon also you can hit "ctrl+shift+x" to turn it on and off.
