Auto levels check / stats reporter?

Anyone come across an automated way of doing complete check of min & max audio and video levels in a project ? If not a Vegas plugin then some standalone app that a Vegas project can be frameserved into. I imagine setting it running then going off to have a cup of refreshment while it scans through the whole project.

I already use broadcast-safe filter etc. on master but want to know that when I remove it, none of the Events go too much above limits, i.e. so that crushing doesn't happen in the broadcast-safe filter.

I cannot help with video levels but Sound Forge has a statistics function that'll tell you where your audio levels are sitting. Mininum audio level is most likely going to always be -infinity though. I know what you want but I've yet to see a meter or software that comes close to what you'd judge watching the meters and using your brain.

One other thing that you have not asked for but is pretty vital with audio is phase correlation. SF9 has such a meter and you should check this as well to ensure listeners with mono sound don't have problems.

You can control how abruptly the broadcast-safe filter clips with the "Smoothness" sliders.
