Is there a way to have a single movie autoplay when the DVD is entered but then go to a menu when the first movie is finished?

Sure. Create a menu based project. Drag the movie from the explorer window into the project tree window (drop it on the DVD disk - the root). Click on it, then click on the "first play" button. Navigate into the movie and set the end action of the movie to link to the menu,
