Auto request for a removable media

Dear All,

I have a firewire external 20G drive where I store some of my captured videos into and some on my HDD (C drive - 20G). The number of videos have over grown the external and HDD, and I have to put them into several 'tapes' of the external HDD.

Does anyone knows how VF will react if the video it suppose to render is not avail and will it 'call-up' for my assistant to search for the missing files?

Yes, it will give you a number of options. However, they seem to be aimed at dealing with a few files that have been accidentaly moved, renamed or whatever. One of the options is to search for the same filenames on the drives of your choice, so that may do it. It's ok to play with the system - VF seems to settle down quite happily once it knows where the files are. You can even tell it to ignore missing files.
