Auto Ripple + Ignore Event Grouping - making it slicker?

Grazie wrote on 7/14/2004, 11:00 PM
Okay the 3 finger salute to the Auto Ripple PLUS the IEG is what I seem to be doing a lot of.

I've developed this way of working with/for Quick 'n Dirty editing .. Is there a quicker/smarter way to get to and away from these functions W/O using the keystrokes or Rodent Radar to locate the buttons on the Toolbar Set?

TIA

Grazie

You could also just turn on Auto Ripple and Ignore Event Grouping from the toolbar instead and leave them that way.

My problem whenever I use the toolbar for Auto Ripple or IEG, I ALWAYS forget to turn them back off again. This leads to much swearing and cursing when I realize I've inadvertently moved everything out of synch.

So, I'm trying to retrain myself to use keyboard shortcuts for Auto Ripple. I reprogrammed my keyboard so that the "F" key ripples all tracks, and "CTRL-ALT-F" just ripples affected tracks. This saves some finger contortions, since I usually need to ripple EVERYTHING.

You could probably reprogram the keyboard to make Ignore Event Grouping easier, too.
