If you're using Windows 10, search for "Choose default apps by file type". Scroll down the very long list of file extensions to .veg. To the right of .veg you will likely see the VP14 icon. Just click on it and select the VP15 icon which should be there as a selection. Any .veg you click on in future will result in VP15 being opened.

The default app/program choice is available in earlier Windows versions, but possibly have a different name (e.g. program instead of app) and method of drilling down to the default page.
