auto start with firewire

Sorry gang... I tried finding the answer for this; it must be a setting I'm missing, but how do you get Vegas to NOT launch when connecting a camera via firewire to the PC? For example, I have Vegas open editing a project, and I needed to capture an additional clip, so I hook up my firewire and when I do another Vegas application launches. It also does this if I turn the camera off then back on. Just want it to have one application open at all times, and no more.

Im thinking that maybe its not a Vegas issue , but a Windows one possibly. Maybe when that device was connected, at some point the windows dialog box that comes up and asks when it finds a new device or drive what you want to do. maybe somehow you selected "always perform this operation" or what ever that choise says I cant remember. Plus I cant remember how to undo it either, sorry.
Just suggesting that maybe its your OS and not Vegas.
