auto-time stretching to markers?

Hey guys, I'm taking my first swing at music videos- I've got vegas 5..

So in practice, I'm trying to basically make a music video that takes into account the synchopation beats of the song. So I got some old video of someone punching buttons on a machine, no real meter to what she is doing, and the camera is zooming in as it progresses. I've added markers to the source music that match the beats of the song, and markers within the trimmer for source video with the start about a frame before the button is pressed down, and ending a frame before the next button is pressed...now here's where I have problems....

Question would be, is there an easy way to get the machine typists actions to time stretch between the markers on the song, and be respective of the zoom shot?

Right now I am using "A" to insert..and it is doing this wierd thing where the clip starts at the right point, but where the next marker exists on the song, the zooming goes backwards on the source video.

Any other ideas to get this matching video effect to work without lots of tedious effort?

Thanks for any suggestions!

So I've figured I can sorta do what I'm after with Sub Clips- and then Cntrl and drag to fill marker spans.. However I can only slow the video to 25% (which doesn't always fill the gap between piano notes in the song).

Got to be a better way.
