Auto way to set up all clips with cross dissolves?

If I have a number of clips on a single track (let's say, randomly spaced apart), is there a feature in Vegas Pro 8 to select all the clips (events), and tell it to set them all up, back to back with a global cross dissolve? (Basically, shift all those that need to be shifted to remove the gaps, overlap them and give them cross dissolves)?

Failing that, can the same be done for a series of clips that are currently back to back (with no cross dissolves nor gaps between them), and have a global cross dissolve applied to each of them? (so Vegas would overlap each one and add a cross dissolve)?

I think I found it. Seems to work.

For those of you also wondering:

Just select all the clips. Open up the Transitions window. Drag the transition you want to the intersection of the first two clips, and it'll apply it to all of the clips (shifting them over so the needed overlap occurs...

Nice!

If they're not already on the timeline, go to Option - Preferences to the Editing tab and then make sure the "cut to overlap" box is checked and that the corresponding timecode is set to the amount of overlap/crossfade you want.

If they're already on the timeline, a script is the easiest method.

But... There's no standard "cross fade" that I can find in the Transitions window... Is there a way to do a normal cross fade with all clips with this method?

OH, OK, I figured out I could create the "standard" crossfade as a preset in cross effects, by saving one with the effects set to "none".

Now I can use this as a crossfade across all clips.

Cool.
