Automatic Crossfades & Edit Details Problems

I decided to try a project with V14 despite the horrible default icons. Just found that my usual way of aligning stills doesn't work. I like to use the Edit Details window and type in the start position and length of a still. With V13 I would get an automatic crossfade but not with V14 -- one still just sits on top of the other. I've checked to make sure automatic crossfades is checked...

Weird - just tried the shortcut key I've assigned ctrl-shift-x and automatic crossfades is still checked and now I'm seeing crossfades. Not sure what the bug is.

Also I have one take 8 seconds long starting at 1:56 and ending at 2:04. The next take on the track starts at 2:02 but the info on the time line reports the corssfade as 2.054. This doesn't add up. I have quantise to frames switched off. How to get V14 to be precise like v13?

Everytime you use "Ctrl+Shift+X" you activate and deactivate automatic crosfades

Yes, so pressing Ctrl+shift+x should have deactivating it instead of activating it. Your screenshot shows a 2 second crossfade - what mine should have been. I fixed it by hand. If it happens again I'll post a screenshot.

Again: Ctrl+Shift+X is a toggle comand, and you can see the status
