Automatic return to menu delayed or not working

I have six short videos and a main menu with text buttons linking to these videos (titles). I posted them as "media" and they work. I did set up the end action in each of the video pages to automatically return to the main menu. I tried both options - by page title and by returning to the last played menu. When the videos stop playing, it takes anywhere between 1 and 3 minutes to actually "return" to the menu. Sometimes this does not work at all, especially after the first video on the list is done. I would like the main menu to "return" automatically within 5 seconds after the videos stop playing. I am a beginner with DVDA. I use the DVD Architect Studio, version 4.5. What am I missing? Please help.

This is likely related to your DVD media itself. Are you using a good, quality brand, like Verbatim, or a poor quality brand, like Memorex? Also, did you burn at 4x or 8x? That can make a difference.

Even today, some DVD players can be a bit challenged by home-burned DVDs, especially if they're on poor quality discs.

If the programming on your disc seems to work, then DVD Architect has done its job. A delay in how the DVD player performs is most likely a mechanical issue between disc and player.

I finally upgraded to Vegas PRO and Architect PRO. The problem is now gone. Thank you for your advise, I'll keep it in mind.
