Hi,

How to automatic split scene detection on the video which was captured through analog ?. I know vegas can do capture and spilt by scene during capture process. sometime I use other capture program through analog device and ofcourse can't do spit by scene directly. I used Ulead to do scene detection and it will split the video automatically on the timeline. can vegas do that ?

Thanks
Ngurah

Vegas cannot do a scene detection for analog inputs. I recommend first to capture the analog video with Vegas. Then use an external tool like AVCutty to automatically split the scenes. AVCutty is available at:

www.avcutty.de/english/index.htm

It's donationware.

An alternative is to use Scenalyzer which can split the analogue footage during capture. I''ve found this works very well.

Scenalyzer

Scenalyzer Features

You will also find a free utility (its called the OLD Scenalyzer) at the Scenalyzer site that will do optical scene detection on the video already captured. However, if you plan to do lots of analog capture, but the wonderful Scenalyzer utility and then download the new beta version. The author improved the optical scene detection beyond what is in Scenalyzer Live (the shareware product) and its optical scene detection was improved over what is in the freeware product.
