There are some scripts that let you render regions as sequential multiple files. You could import the .veg files from each project sequentially into one new Vegas timeline, set regions around each file, and batch render away.

Personally, i'd start up Vegas 12 times, load one project in each instance of Vegas, and start them all running.

thanks for the quick response...

Do you have a pointer to a script?

I will look into the .veg approach, interesting idea.

Start Vegas 12 times, not sure what system you have. I am using an overclocked Intel quad core with 4gb ram. I barely can render 1 at a time (as a matter of fact I have had to restructure several projects to get them to "fit" into my RAM). Thanks for the idea though.

You have to have Vegas Pro to use scripts, so if you have the Studio/Platinum versions it wouldn't work anyway.

Oops. i fergit which forum i'm answering in. No scripts in the studio version.

I've got about half the machine you've got. I started doing the multiple simultaneous render thing back when i was using a 350MHz Celeron with 256MB of RAM.

Do you have lots of large still images in your projects? You shouldn't be having troubles rendering at all.

Originally I had 324 images, plus 10 HD video clips. I did scale the pics to 1920x1080. It was too big to render- hung every time. I am breaking it into 5 projects, then will pull them together for 1 final no-image render for 1 feature HD film. And, leave them as 5 segments pulling them together using a DVD Architect Playlist.

Does this make sense? Right approach?
