Is this possible? In Cakewalk Home Studio and also in Premiere 6 fader positions in the mixer can be saved/automated. Someone referred to this being possible in Vegas but I can't figure out how it might be done. Would be useful...
You mean like highlighting say track 2 and pressing the "V"key on your keyboard for a "volume envelope"? Or do you mean that as the song is playing you can move the fader and it will register on the volume envelope timeline as well? In vegas you set the track fader initially and then throughout the song you use the volume envelope to add more volume or take away. No fader movement but the end result is the same. The audio routing options in vegas are deep so explore and see what you think.Later.
Thanks, I use envelopes successfully but wanted something closer to your first suggestion, move faders in the mixer and have those movements recorded and also reflected in the envelopes. This way you could gang faders into bus groups and perform quite a complex mix in real time with the mouse. David
