Now THAT's the Nugget for me! - Basically On-The-Fly Envelope creation for sound and or video ! Absolutely Brilliant! . . . I can review my work in real time AND adjust volume OR Panning OR Video and have those levels happen sexily & automatically WITHOUT having to stop and review, place POINTS and then try again . . .

Just got to this point in Liam's & TEam's V5 video from NAB . . .

Grateful-Grazie

It's awesome

What controllers can you use, the Mackie Universal is OT for my needs.

I like the idea of a small unit with 4-6 sliders, looks like it would be more intuiative than a mouse

Just thinking out loud

Grazie et al,
I'd raised this earlier today. Maybe I was getting too excited it seems but think about this and CC. Good control surfaces COST. They're not just a bunch of sliders, as you play back the envelopes the sliders have to move to show you where the thing you're controlling is at. Think about that carefully less you overlook how you are going to interact with the thing. Motorised sliders aren't cheap, a motorised joystick would be quite a feat of engineering.

I would look at the new controllers by behringer :
www.behringer.com

motirized faders and extremely cheap.

Yes farss .. I saw that. I hadn't got to motorised thingies yet . . But what tickles me is the ability to use the onscreen slider and adjust pans and levels on the fly . . .I hadn't and will proably not go the next "mile" with the motorised stuf - thanks Nat - it would require justifacation of some project for me to invest that far . .BUT, as they say in Hollywood - "YAh never can tell!!"

. . still think they are amazing . .

Hmmm... as much as I'm not a fan of Behringer (I bought a mixer from them once & it died VERY quickly), that is one CUTE little toy. I'll put money on the fact that it streets for around $200...
Very interesting...

I really like the idea of the Behringer, any suggestions on aother devices

Can you get an All-In-One with a shuttle etc that can work with the new capability in V5 I think $200-$300 would be a great investment for that functionality.

Any suggestions welcome, what do I have to look for to make it compatable with the control interface in Vegas?
