Automation Recording for Video Track keyframes, is this possible?

I'm checking the official Vegas help files.

On this page, it says:

RECORDING TRACK ENVELOPE AND KEYFRAME AUTOMATION

Automation recording allows you to edit envelope and keyframe settings by using the controls in the VEGAS Pro interface. When combined with a control surface, you can create fades and adjust control parameters with a level of control that only a tangible control can provide.

Automation recording is available for the following settings:

  • Audio track envelopes (using the controls in the track header)
  • Audio track effect parameters for automatable effects (using the controls in the Track FX window)
  • Bus and assignable effects output and panning levels (using the controls in the Mixing Console window or bus track header)
  • Surround panning keyframes
  • Video track envelopes (using the controls in the track header)
  • Video track effect parameters (using the controls in the Video Track FX window)
  • Custom composite mode plug-in settings (using the controls in Parent Track Composite Mode or Track Composite Mode window when SYNC CURSOR  is selected)
  • Track-level mask generator plug-in settings (using the controls in the Video Track FX window when SYNC CURSOR  is selected)

For the last three, I can't seem to reproduce them in Vegas at all anyway. Is it really possible? Or are there any tutorials available?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sync Cursor is the little blue padlock on any effect window, just below the keyframe track. You may have to expand the window to see them.

@mark-y Of course I know what Sync Cursor is, but I can't reproduce the Automation Recording for keyframes. When I drag any control of Video Track FX (the slider, or the point on the preview window, etc.), it won't record keyframes. It doesn't work like other automation features. Have you any idea?

Are you pressing the animate button to the right of each parameter in the video effects dialogue to reveal the timeline?

Systems:

AMD Ryzen 7 1800x 8 core 16 thread at stock speed

Not that case, I do know how to add OFX keyframes.

Well, according to my discussion with my other friends, this function only supports DXT plug-ins, which is NOT applicable to any OFX plug-in.

@mark-y @fr0sty If you don't know what that means, see this video:

But why not make this a new feature request? It could be a game changer. Think about it, you just need to playback your project and drag any control in Video FX or in the preview window, then eveything is done. If you need to make additional changes, just re-record your keyframes and you may no longer have to deal with Bezier curve. It's a very nice operation logic. I would suggest this feature as a future plan for Vegas.
