Autotune

This is a little off topic, but is anybody having Autotune
probs with Vegas. Here is the email I sent Antares and its
response:

I recently installed AutoTune (Direct X) to use with
Soundforge 4.5b and Vegas. Now, after I use it a couple of
times my sound card quits putting out signal. The WAV file
will play in Soundforge, and the VU meters move, but no
sound. Vegas and Cakewalk freeze and won't play at all. The
only way to alleviate the situation is to re-boot and not
use AutoTune.

I have a Digital Audio Systems CardDeluxe (only about 6
months old). I feel it's gotta be an Autotune issue because
this NEVER happened until I put it on the system.

I have a Dell Dimension 450 with 128 megs of Ram. 13 gig
hard disk. Got any solutions-suggestions?

P.S. I've already checked with the CardDeluxe people and
they don't have a clue. Besides, their card works fine until
I run Autotune.

Unitially, I would suggest that you make sure that you have
the latest
> DirectX versions, which are DirectX v6.1a and DirectX
Media Runtime v6.0.

ttp://www.microsoft.com/DirectX. Even if it doesn't solve
the problem, it's a good idea to have these versions.

With any crashing problems, you might also consider
reinstalling Windows, which frequently becomes unstable over
time for a variety of reasons.

I'm also attaching a new driver which may help. The file
(TPKD.VXD) will need to be unzipped and stored in your
Windows\System folder.

Beyond that, you might consider calling us to talk it over,
bcause the lesser possibilities aren't easily covered by
email.. Also, we are running Soundforge and Vegas here
without any problems, so we doubt tat there is a
cmpatibility problem or bug or anything like that. It's ore
likely to be something about your system, quite possibly a
registry error or software conflict.

Tried all these things and no luck so far.
