I had Vegas 9.0c 32 bit on a Windows 7 64 bit RC1 system and everything worked perfectly for months.
Now I have bought a Windows 7 Home and installed it from scratch on the computer.
Works well - except that I can not open AVCHD high profile 1280x720 files in Vegas any more. Vegas says: cannot open.
Windows 7 shows the AVCHD high profile videos as thumbnails (Win7 RC1 only showed thumbs for main profile) - and plays them in player - so the codecs should be on the machine.
The problem is that I have forgotten what/ or if I did something special to make Vegas accept the AVCHD high prof. files under Win7.
I have tried to install K-lite, but probably not configured it correctly...
