AVCHD Editing with VMS 6?

Can you edit AVCHD files on VMS 6, or do I need to upgrade to VMS 8?

You need to upgrade.

Alternatively you can use this to change the files to another format that Vegas can edit well, e.g. mpeg2:

but this will take a long time to do the re-encoding. Save your time by upgrading.
