I videoed some AVCHD footage onto an SD card at Best Buy and imported it into trial version of VMS 8 (I've been using VMS 6) to test out the editing of HD files.
Knowing that AVCHD files use a long-GOP format, I was surprised that the event on the timeline looked an edited the same as an AVI file from my miniDV. Am I missing something? I thought it would be difficult to do a splice/cut at P or B frames.
Help me understand.
