Avg. Total Data Rate Vs Avg. Video Data Rate?

Can someone explain the difference between these two different project media items?

I know the Avg. total Data Rate times 8 gives me the stated MP of my cameras codec but on two different cameras report Avg. video Data Rate for 1080P 24fps for one at 3.75 and the other 9.375.

Thanks.

Data rate is not related to your camera's megapixel rating.

Total data rate is the averaged megabits per second of your combined video and audio capture.
Video data rate is just as its name implies; the averaged bitrate of the video stream.

Thanks, I am just surprised at how more video data is transmitted when comparing my D7000 at 20 mb data rate and the D7100 data rate when both are set to 24 fps. The Codec mbs rating is different than the sensor mega pixel data.

It's something else.
Average vs. Peak bitrate?

The difference is that one is 3.75 while the other is 9.375. That's the difference, that's really all there is to it.

Is there a chance you have the 9.375 camera set to a higher video quality than the 3.75 camera?
