AVI Alpha channel question

I want to make an AVI [uncompressed] file for use in a 3D program. I am trying to put the AVI on a flat "screen" [ie- TV screen style] in the 3D program. It is greenscreen footage with the background taken out and a flat green B'Gnd added. I want to make the b'gnd invisible to the program, to appear like the person is in the scene. The 3d app uses uncomp'd AVI files and can detect an alpha channel.

My question is, do i use AVI >>uncompressed >> pre-mult alpha channel >> background set to green , for the render settings?

Im not very knowledgeable with alpha channels, so any help appreciated

Hi OzSpace, if I understand you correctly, you are probably better off not using alpha, instead texture (or whatever the terminology the 3d program you are using uses) the TV screen with the .avi. If you do have to comp in the 3d, use the green screen chroma keyer video fx and render with straight alpha.
