AVI clips from SD Card

I'm asked to take off some avi clips from an SD card to DVD, and don't know the camera source. The format is XviD MPEG-4. On the timeline the images are good, but they playback black.
What am I doing wrong?

Changed the preview settings, got video back, still no audio.

PROBLEM SOLVED:
I converted the Xvid file to an uncompressed Video file with PCM audio using the AVS Video Converter.
The only other step was to adjust the file resolution to match the 320x240 input resolution and it worked fine when rendered to mpeg2 on VMS.
