AVI editing problem

I'm having problems trying to edit movie clips from a canon powershot S1 IS. When moving the clip to the timeline I only get the audio portion and no video. I tried it also on a friend's Vegas4 with the same results, only the audio. I'm able to edit using XP's movie maker. The camera user's manual specifies the movies as AVI (Image data: Motion JPEG; Audio data: WAVE (monaural)). Any suggestions.

You need an MJPEG codec. You can obtain one from Morgan Multimedia or MainConcept.

Also, if you have XP, try this:
