No, they are not uncompressed. 13GB/hour is the size of a normal DV .AVI file which is compressed. A truly uncompressed 720x480 29.97fps NTSC .AVI file with 48k 16bit stereo audio is 112,899,225,600 bytes per hour, which is just over 105 gigabytes/hour.

You will notice if you ever try to export to uncompressed AVI. Most hard drives can't write fast enough.
