avi files not recognized

Hi:
I ve been trying to re-open some video files (.avi)that i have captured and worked before with in Vegas Video 2,that i backed up on cd rom some time ago.
When i try to open it i get a message in the explorer window that says:"Stream Attributes could not be determined".I thought that it was a codec problem but i can open these same files in Sound Forge 5,Cubase VST,Adobe Premiere, and the Windows Media Player without problems.
So i guess its a Vegas Video problem.Anyone had this problem before?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Cesar Callirgos

I´m having the same proble with some avi files that I´ve captured with a pinnacle DC10+.
I can see those files in many programs, but VV2.
I get the same error message and I can only read the audio stream.
If someone can help, please...
