AVI into a JPeg?

I am looking to turn a frama of AVI into a JPeg. Can I do this with Vegas? OR is this a Photoshop question?

Park the cursor on the frame you want. Then click on the floppy disc icon on the preview window. For best results, set the preview to Best, and also set the project properties to Field order:None

Is there a way to improve resolution? Changing the preview to best increases the image size but does not affect the resoltion of 72.

You should be getting a 655 x 480 72dpi picture (assuming NTSC). That IS the resolution of the picture. Remember, you are talking VIDEO quality - NOT PHOTO quality.
