AVI Render Sync Problem

When I render to AVI (default template-uncompressed) the audio is out of sync with the video. All other formats such as wmv and mpeg do fine, but AVI is a problem. When I use Print To Tape the only format it acknowledges is AVI so I need to be able to render to AVI in the highest quality I can. Any suggestions?

Need more info, Which version of Vegas? Rendering and printing to tape are two different things. Are you using the Print Video to Tape from the Tools menu or Print to Tape in the Capture mode? .. Be precise as to what you are doing and how you know it is out of sync. For example, captures can look out of sync at the time of capture but are not when you use the captured file.

If you are rendering uncompressed this creates HUGE files which need a fast computer to play smoothly. It is possible that your machine isn't fast enough to play the video in sync with the audio. Is there any particular reason that you're saving uncompressed files? If you're printing back to a DV camcorder, then you should be saving the files as DV anyway, not uncompressed.
