AVI Rendering Issues

I already went through the "I can't see AVI files " on Vegas 8,so I downloaded "K-Lite" and that fixed that problem.

Now when I try to render my project in any format I cannnot see any AVI files.The rest of the video formats are fine,but the avi files are black,even when rendering an avi file???

Any help would be appreciated..

What type, format, and codec are you rendering to?

Iam trying to render to an mpeg 2,but no matter how I render the file it comes out black.Looks fine on the timeline,but goes to crap during rendering.

I tried another avi file from a mini cam I have and it worked fine,so I am way lost on this one.

ok, so what format and codec are the source files you're using? Where did they come from?
