AVI to DVD

Up until now when I want to create a DVD using Vegas 5 I output right from the timeline to a DVD recorder using "print to tape"

I have a client that wants to have an AVI file put directly on a DVD without converting to an mpeg format. Any ideas on how I can go about this?
I don't have DVD Architect.

I appreciate any suggestions.

You use a burning program (such as Nero) to create a data DVD. You'll probably want to break the AVI file up into 2GB chunks.

This DVD will NOT play on a conventional DVD Player though. It will only be seen by a computer. You can put an autorun.ini on the DVD if you want the .avi to autoplay on a computer though.

You'd better make sure why this guy wants an .avi on a DVD. He may be asking you for the wrong thing/format.
