Avid Artist Mix / Euphonix MC Mix

Hi folks,

Just wanted to see if anybody here is using either the Avid Arist Mix or Euphonix MC Mix (same thing... new name) in Vegas?

I know Vegas does not support EuCon natively, this control surface is supposed to support Mackie Control as well, so should work in Vegas. But thought I would check to see if anybody here has any stories to share (if somebody has used this control surface in Vegas).

Cheers,
Chris

Dont know about Avid Artist Mix / Euphonix MC Mix control interface, but from my unfortunate and hair-pulling experience, neither V10 or 11 work with the Mackie MCU Pro. Vegas 9 integration is seamless and bulletproof- complete sync and lock-up, total 2-way communication. But V10/11? Forget it. Some controls work, most others don't. I keep hoping for the next build that will restore control surface functionality, but it hasn't happened in over a year. So still I wait.

Again, this is only anecdotal, based on the MCU, but it might give some perspective on the state of V11 control surface compatibility in general.

Good luck!

Interesting.

At the moment I have a Faderport which works as well in 11 as it did in 10 and 9.

I have a Behringer BCF2000 that supports Mackie Protocol, maybe I will test with that first to see how the Mackie Control support is.

Cheers,
Chris

By all means, give the BCF2000 a try. If it works for you in Emulator mode, then I'll assume that's it's just my system and not a more wide-spread problem (a good thing).

Thanks, and please let us know how it goes!
