Avid MXF / export - does Vegas read em?

A question which I may already know the answer to.

Using Avid Media Composer HD as a hard drive recorder for a studio production I am doing. I believe Media Composer is limited to recording with DXxHD compression- uncompressed is not possible. 1080i HD SDI going in.

I have captured some test footage and tried to export it every which ways.
Quicktime 601/709 works.
However, .mxf doesn't seem to open in Vegas. AAF exports point to those .mxf files. Is there any way to make these open in Vegas?

I seriously doubt it as Vegas will only read the Sony specific MXF wrapper. Major PIA in my opinion.
You might find a 3rd party app to strip the media into separate files and then bring those into Vegas.

At least for my purposes, quicktime export will work.
