Spot|DSE wrote on 4/15/2004, 3:42 PM
Folks, the Vegas 5.0 dates and loose agenda are posted on the VASST site, the agenda will show more in-depth when Sony officially launches Vegas 5.0.
Vegas 5 agenda will get you there if you'd like more information.
Notice the addition of Toronto to this year's tour, and Orlando as well.
More, much more to come, along with some very exciting and fun news for each city. Stay tuned.
In three cities, we'll also be doing the ACID "No Copyrights" tour with Jeffrey P. Fisher in back-to-back dates, so it's your chance to catch a bunch of us on the tour. We hope to see you on the road.
Vegas 5.0 is simply awe-inspiring. Wait'll you see it in ACTION!

Hmmmm..... I may be interested in the Atlanta date. Spot, is there a discount for forum members (or really nice guys)?

Randy, we're looking at adding Honolulu in July, just waiting on word from Singapore.

Woo-hoo! (doin' a little dance) Didn't want to whine. I'll make sure the "bruddas" are informed. I'm excited now! All you mainlanders...can you say business trip? Come on out and enjoy paradise while you work ;-). The weather will be perfect, promise.
Thanks Spot and VAAST!

spot, how fast does this fill up normaly? I'm really intersted in Toronto, but don't have the $$$ right now. Is it a first come first serve basis?

Whoa! If you haven't checked out the VAAST Vegas 5 link given above within the last 20 minutes, go there. Someone (guess who) has added little comments that really are exciting about coming features. Talk about a great teaser! Thanks Spot!

Man. I was wondering why we hadn't heard anything official on the Vegas feature set from Sony yet. If the stuff hinted at here is as cool as it seems, I can see why they would keep it secret. Can't wait to see what they've done.

SPOT,
Any reason the ACID class is NOT being offered in Toronto? Would be really interested in attending both.
Thanks,
Tom
Spot|DSE wrote on 4/16/2004, 5:54 AM
It's expensive to take the ACID class into an unknown market. If you think you can get a bunch of folks together, we're there. Toronto is a new market for us, and we're not able to get much information up there for whatever reason. We also have very limited resources up there, and Sony Canada is a different group than Sony USA.
TheHappyFriar wrote on 4/16/2004, 6:06 AM
Move to buffalo/niagara falls/ithica/rochester. :) It's closer & in the US. :) But i'm still interested in toronto.

Spot,

we're not able to get much information up there

What information would you need? I'd love to help bring ACID to town. Email me offline with details. I think you have my email address.

Cheers,
Tom

Spot -

Any chance for a Salt Lake stop? Or is this an "unknown" market??

Also, since when are Los Angeles and Denver in the "Midwest" ;-)

We've certainly discussed doing SLC, since it would be cost effective.
You didn't hear about the great rocky mountain earthquake that moved LA and Denver closer together? :-)
It shows Singapore as midwest too. I guess Taiwan is REALLY western, huh? or is that semi-far eastern?

Any chance of a visit to Detroit, Michigan at some point in the future?

I wonder why none of the tours come to Madison, WI, the home of Sonic Foundry..or Sony...or...you know, the guys who make the software!
Maybe a tour and then another tour of the facilities where the software is made..

>tour of the facilities where the software is made.<

If you envision something akin to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, you would be pretty dissapointed. :-0

We did Detroit once...should we return? Maybe we were too far from Eminem's house. :-) This tour we have a limited number of dates, I wish we had a budget for more!

Spot,

again you do not like to visit Europe? It is a pitty - for the 500 people that we have now in our German spoken forum www.vegasvideo.de/forum - some of them would have loved to participate in such a presentation, I assume.

Kind regards,
Wolfgang

Spot,

Looks great, looking forward to the Dallas date (wish it was Austin! Much cooler town!!)

Can you provide some details about the classroom. Is there a size limit? Does each student have a workstation or is it simply a classroom style presentation?

Also, for the Dallas date, do you have a specific location?

Thanks,

Marc
