As per:

http://www.mainconcept.com/mainvision.shtml

You *can* create your own via Main Vision.

I use Jumpbacks from Digital Juice. I start with their pre-made and then composite, change colors, change speed, etc. to create my own. It is not the same as creating from scratch--but it doesn't take the time and I'm not nearly the artist these folks are.

You may wish to send them an e-mail to find out what they use.

Don't discount noise textures in Vegas 4 -- you can easily create loops on par with the Main Vision stuff.

You can make right in Vegas. Any background image and add FX Light Rays. I played with and come with some owsome effects. Change intensity, noise angle of light source and mixing colors.Just play with and see what you can come up.
You imagination is only the limitation in Vegas(and patience).

Could you create some loops similar to that found in any of the Digital juice series? I have yet to play around with light fx in Vegas. I tend to lean more towards the Digital Juice stuff as opposed to mainconcept. There seems to be a different visual element in the loops.

Sonic Foundry has their Vision series of backdrops. Digital Hotcakes also has a nice set of backdrops if you’re into buying them You can create background loops with Axogon Composer which is the predecessor to MainActor and is still freely available in beta form to download. I have an Axogon loop tutorial on my web site.

Also take a look at particleIllusion SE 2.0. Some of the paticle generators make nice backdrops. It’s only $99 and I believe Digital Hotcakes uses this as one of their tools because a number of their backdrops are the stock particleIllusion SE settings. You can download a 30-day trial of particleIllusion SE 2.0 from Wondertouch.com.
