background music

I'm looking for background music for my movies. A lot of it is too expensive and this is for personal use. Any suggestions where to look for music already composed? I do have ACID Music Studio and have used it a little. I've listened to some of the samples for more loops. Two of them I liked were James Johnson: Slow Silhouette and Cinemascape: Soundtrack Construction Elements. Has anybody used either of these? They both sound pretty mello from the samples, so I don't know that I'd need both of them. I would also like something that's a little more upbeat, dramatic, or happy - any suggestions? Thanks

I'm all for using "legal" music, paying the rights ,giving the artist their royalty,, but you say for personal use , like for you and your wife or kids, no one else ?
well then i do believe I would use my favorite cd, and not feel bad about it, or feel I'm ripping anyone off, of course buy the cd.

Also try twistedtracks.com. I think they may still have the $50 worth of free music that you can download - you just need to register, and away you go..

Also another great site for very inexpensive buyout music ($2 to $5 per track) is Yopo Music.

Jonathan Slatter has written or produced tons of great music from Rock to Disco to New Age to Classical to Religious. If you're from the US, however, just be aware that when it says .99 cents or 1.99 that's in British pounds so you're actually paying about double that in US dollars.
