Backlight correction, help! Costis wrote on 2/28/2005, 8:44 AM I am new to Vegas and I am trying to save a hardly backlighted clip. here is a snapshot. http://www.ath1.com/temp/ I tried color curves but I got a dull image. Is there anything like photoshop's hilight/shadows correction in vegas? how do you correct this? Thanks! Back to post
Comments Bill Ravens wrote on 2/28/2005, 8:51 AM Try this magic.... duplicate the image on a track above the existing track. Click on the little filmclip icon (compositing mode) and select "SCREEN" mode. Your image will suddenly show the underexposed area quite nicely. Costis wrote on 2/28/2005, 8:59 AM Thanks Bill! It's like PS screen mode! Spot|DSE wrote on 2/28/2005, 9:00 AM http://www.dvformat.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=28848 has an article on just this subject. Costis wrote on 2/28/2005, 9:05 AM The guy's sillouette should be screened while the rest should be multiplied in composite mode. How can do this? 1
