Bad Audio Sync when burning DVD

Hi All. I imported an 2GB MPEG-2 video that I had into DVD Architect. Prior to this, the file played back fine and the audio was synced. But, after allowing DVD Architect to Prepare the media source and then burn to DVD, the resulting video, played back on a Consumer DVD Player on my TV, has really bad audio sync. As the DVD plays, the sync difference gets worse. At the beginning of the video, the audio is about 30 seconds behind the video. By the end of the video, it is several minutes behind. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Start playing the audio about 30 seconds before starting the video - it should synch up nicely.

...sorry....couldn't resist that one.

You should be using separate "streams" for your audio and video and also using specific templates. In Vegas render your audio as an ac3 file. Use the defaults and make sure the name of the audio stream is the same as the video stream. Then, render your video as an MPEG 2 file using the video stream labeled NTSC DVDA Video stream. When you drag the video into your DVDA project it will automatically find the audio stream (as long as they have the same name and are in the same directory).
