I just bought a 5 pack of Sony DVD-R and every single one of them messed up. I was trying to burn the DVD, and it went about halfway through the disk..then the drive spit the disk out and DVDA2 brought up an error saying the disk was dirty or something....i went through all 5 disks. This is wierd becuase just the day before i burnt several of the same DVD just fine. Was it the disks? or the burner? or the software? or the operator? :o)

What type and brand of media were you using when the DVD came out fine? Were they DVD+R's? What burner are you using? Was this using DVDA?

Sometimes a particular type of media (DVD+R or DVD-R) doesn't work properly with a particular model burner. This can also vary from one application to another. It's quite frustrating, but something we'll have to get used to for awhile. (I sure don't remember going through this with floppy disks. Heck, not even with CDRs.)

Or, as you suggest, it might've just been a bad batch of DVD-R.
