Gosh - I sure hope someone here can help me. I don't know where to begin - except to say that when I opened up a video I've been working on (in Vegas 7) ALL video clips are flagged "Media Offline". The photos and music are still there, but all the video that was there for the weeks I've been working on this project was GONE!! This opens a box with the option to "search for a missing file" - I do, and get "0 file(s) found". When I select the "Ignore all missing files and leave them offline", the project opens and all video clips are shown by their names in the Project Media bin. When I right click the clip and select "Recapture all offline media", nothing happens. When I right click and select "Explore Containing Folder", it opens the folder to where the clips were saved, but they are not there. Now, at this point, I would think that had I unknowingly deleted those clips, they 1. - would not show up in the media bin, and 2, I would not have to option to "restore" or "explore containing folder". A YouTube video addressing the "media offline" problem in Sony suggested opening "Options", then "Preferences" and unchecking "Close media files when not the active application". You guessed it - no luck. I even downloaded "Recuva", a program to undelete deleted files. You guessed it again - it found not a single clip. These clips are from video I took in breathtaking Salzburg, Austria, so you can imagine my heartbreak at loosing them. Does anyone have any IDEA where these clips could be? Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated.
