You can drag the bak file on top of the vegas icon (on the desktop) and the bak file will open up in vegas

Or you simply rename the file and remove the .bak extension. I wonder what .bak file Vegas will create if you open a .bak file? Hmmm... something to ponder.

Well it should have done (I've also done that on the past)... what did you rename it too?

It still needs to have a .veg file extension.
