Basic Arch Questions

My first time using it with menus. Three basic questions:

1. I have rendered my DV project in Vegas to a MainConcept mp2 & a MP3 Audio. Using Explorer in Arch, I dragged the MP2 to the timeline, but both the video and audio tracks came over. I thought the MP2 was video only. I don't see a way to see the names of the files once they are in the timeline.

2. When I File, Save As, the only choice is .dar. Is that correct?

3. The Insert Scene/Chapter Marker button is greyed out. I put the cursor in the timeline where I want a marker, but can't insert it.

Thanks!

1. When both files are placed in the same folder, DVDA autoimatically brings the sound file with the video file. To see file names. highlight the media and then in media properties open track media.

2. Yes I believe it only saves in .dar which is the file type that DVDA looks for.

3. Once you have followed the above instructions you can then insert marker.

ONLY if the file names (minus extension) are the same. If they're different it will only import one or the other (whichever you added).

Thanks for the replies. Still having the problem with the marker tool greyed out . . .

Any ideas?

You need to make sure that it's the video track, not the menu, showing on the timeline. Double-click the video track in the Project Window and then try.
