Basic PIP question

Just started working with the demo of Screenblast, and I'm trying to do a PIP, with one main video track going and another angle of the same essential footage in a box in the corner. Per other related threads here, I have the video I want as the small box on the Video Overlay track, and I selected the Pan/Crop FX and shrunk it down, but I still don't know how to actually combine them so they are seen together. When I press Play, I'm still only seeing the main video track image. How do I get the shrunken overlay track to appear on top of it?

Thanks,
Shaz

Well, let's start with some basics.

Do you have the two clips occurring at the same time? In other words, if you position the cursor on one of the clips when you want the PIP effect, is it also touching the other clip? They should be aligned one above the other vertically or they won't happen at the same time.

Is the overlay track muted? That's the button that looks like the "Don't" symbol on street signs; the circle with the diagonal line through it. If you have that button pushed then the track is invisible. Conversely, if you have the solo button (the exclamation point) pushed on the main video track then you won't see the other tracks.

When you cropped out by making the frame larger (thus shrinking the clip), is the clip itself still visible inside the dashed line? If you somehome moved the dashed rectangle far enough so that the clip is no longer inside it, then the clip isn't in the video frame anymore and won't be seen.

Check out these possibilities first. If you're still not seeing anything then please ask again and we'll keep working on the solution with you.

Figured it out. I had to drag the frame outside of the image and position it from there. Thanks!
