What program do you have? I have SoundForge 8 and from VMSP 9b I can export audio into it for fixing. It has some great equalisers.

If you have a program with an audio equaliser in it, try a slight boost around the 100-200 cycle area. Only boost it about 2 or 3db.

It might sound better to you if you boost or insert more than that, but it'll sound 'muddy' or too bassy on a lot of speakers. And it might boost the background rumble noise too, but try it.

Cheers.

Thanks a ton for posting this... so far it has really helped rescue the sound.

I used only Vegas itself (Pro version for this go-round, but I think the Audio FX exists in Studio).

If anyone cares to know, I used the "Track EQ" audio FX plugin. I had to play around with it a bit, but I was able to get it going.

Thanks again, really appreciate it.
