batch capture

when you do a batch capture with vegas 4.0 can you tell the program to put each clip in it's own folder on your hard disk drive. I know that you can enter in a global folder for all your captures but when I do a batch capture I would like to specify a folder to capture each clip to automatically. I know that I can define different capture folders but I do not want to do it that way. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi Mike,

There is a way to designate a folder for each clip.

In Batch Capture, after adding the event to the log (or batch capture list), right-click for the properties and browse to the folder or create a folder and apply.

i tried to do that in version 3.0 but it did not work. I will try it again using version 4.0 to see if it will work. As a note, when i tried it before it went to the default capture folder.

Hi,

Assuming you saved the vidcap file and properly saved the properties change in the clip explorer, you may need to add the folders in the disk management... worth looking into.

I created a New Folder in the properties panel, and the explorer accepted the change fine (took its sweet time), but no new capture folder was created in Preferences>Disk management.

Perhaps this is more evolved in V4.
