Batch capture???

Hi there,
I trawled the newsgroups looking for an answer to this one but..
I want to do batch capture with VV3 using Vidcap. I can't find any reference to it in the help files or the manuals, but I know that I should be able to do it.
By batch capture I mean, the capture programme goes through the tape and as it captures, and makes each individual take on the tape into a separate avi file.
Is that right?
That's what i need to do anyway.
Any advice here?
Thanks,
joe

This can be done if you are capturing from a DV tape. In VidCap, under Options / Preferences / Capture check Enable DV scene detection. This will detect timecode discontinuities and start a new .AVI file at each one.

This will not work when capturing from analog tape, even when running it through an A/V -> DV converter.

... and this will NOT work in Batch-Capture mode. You have to use the Normal Capture mode for automatic scene detection.
